Thank you all for an incredible 13th season! I hope you had as much success as I did with your gardens and containers!

My tomato plants grew so strong on their diet of natural fish emulsion and "Moose Juice" fertilizer from Organix. My dogs Ginny and Misty loved rolling in their fishy "perfume" before kissing me, too!

It's hard to believe that the gardens are tucked in and that I have to trade my gardening gloves in for snow boots. However, it also means that it is seed catalog time! Jenelle and I spend hours poring over all of the tasty trends before placing our new and tried-and-true seed orders in January.

If you have any feedback, we would love to hear from you or help remedy any challenges so that your garden flourishes next season. It may also help if we don't get another windy, rainy, then drought-filled summer so we can keep blight at bay!

We also welcome any suggestions for tomatoes, peppers, herbs or other vegetables you would like us to grow for Flower City Sundays at the Rochester Public Market.

If you need some inspiration, please visit my article on page 12 of the July-August 2011 Upstate Gardeners' Journal.

My harvest newsletter will also have you dreaming of all of the colorful varieties you'll want to grow next year or pick up from our friends at Schreiner Farmer in Webster!

Best wishes for a happy holiday season and healthy New Year!
